Crossing the street today I spotted this vintage vehicle, Ford Pinto. Very surprise to see one after all these years. A bit of background for the benefits of the younger generation, this was Ford's response to the Japanese sub-compacts that gained a foothold and started to climb the sales chart.
The car did surprisingly well despite many shortcomings including a sever
lack of power. What did it in was a series of rear end accidents which resulted in deadly fire.
